The history of Ch\u00e2teau Pessan through the centuries has been intimately linked to that of Portets. As far back as you go, you can find traces of the fiefdom of Pessan, neighboring the lands owned by the Baron de Gascq, and on which King Henry IV decided to erect a watchtower to watch over the upstream parts of the Bordeaux area on the Garonne.<\/p>\n
The Bournazel family acquired the property in 1999.<\/p>\n
The vineyard of Pessan extends over 12 ha in the heart of the village of Portets, 20 km south-east of Bordeaux.
