Listrac-Médoc AOC - Bordeaux - France

Just like Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon is one of Médoc's emblematic grape varieties, and is particularly so in Listrac where it serves as the ideal companion to Merlot.

Cabernet Sauvignon brings to the wines their structure and robustness, as well as an aromatic profile of black fruits, and a beautiful dense and deep color, which is purplish in its youth, and gets garnet-colored over time.

Certified HVE3 as of the 2019 vintage.

Listrac-Médoc AOC - Bordeaux - France

Bayron is a name of Basque origin which means a small river in a valley.

It is also the name of a place called Listrac-Médoc, which is crossed by a stream, the place where Fleur Bayron was born over 20 years ago.

Fleur Bayron comes from a plot selection performed on the basis of the vine's age, of the grape's perfect maturity, and of the harvest's excellent sanitary state.

This is classic Haut-Médoc: combining power and elegance, with a deep purple color and red-fruit, blackcurrant and nut aromas, it is ample and silky on the palate.

It is mainly reserved for distribution in gourmet restaurants in France, and for export in Asia and the USA.

This vineyard has been exploited by the Fort Bosc family for three generations, and sits around the village of Le Tris, north of Listrac, on parcels composed of Pyrenean gravel and clay-limestone soil.
The second wine of the Grand Listrac brand, N°2 is produced from young (under 15-year-old) vines.

LISTRAC-MÉDOC AOC – BORDEAUX – FRANCE

Nonetheless, this wine is produced in exactly the same way as all the other wines by the Vignerons Associés.

Grapes are selected and picked based on their sanitary state, their sugar content, and the maturity of the berries. It is a classic, well-balanced Listrac wine, which can be appreciated even in its young age.

Listrac-Médoc AOC - Bordeaux - France

Resulting from rigorous plot selection, GRAND LISTRAC is the leading brand of AOC Listrac-Médoc. It was created in 1935 and is now distributed throughout the world. Only the best grapes make it into the blend that composes it.

This is genuine terroir production: a dense and fruity wine, it can be drunk after as little as 3 years of ageing, or it can be kept for more than 10 years.
